Bartow's Amazin' Race Starts Friday, Ends Saturday

Friends of Kim Cowart and a number of businesses have raised half of the $100,000 goal to help the Cartersville woman who needs organ transplants.

Twenty-four people will set off Friday on two days of challenges to help a Cartersville native in need to organ transplants and you're invited to the start and finish of Bartow's Amazin' Race.

Kim Cowart, who was diagnosed with kidney failure, recently was approved for both kidney and pancreas organ transplants. Friends of Kim Cowart, Race Sponsor Aflac, 30 corporate sponsors and more than 300 individuals, collective members of Team Kim, have an ambitious $100,000 goal to help Kim and her family with the high costs associated with organ transplants and to increase organ transplant awareness for others in need. They've raised more than $50,000 so far.
