Where, When To Get Christmas Assistance in Bartow

Registration for The Salvation Army's Angel Tree and Toys for Tots programs is Oct. 24 and 25, while Bartow Christmas Coalition signups are set for Nov. 8.

Bartow County residents who need assistance for Christmas 2013 have a couple of options.

The Salvation Army

Those hoping for holiday help may register their children for Angel Tree and Toys for Tots programs Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon, at The Salvation Army, 16 Felton Place in Cartersville.

Each family seeking assistance must apply in person in their county
of residence and must bring a valid photo I.D; two forms of current, valid identification for each parent or guardian; AND child, proof of residence, proof of need or proof of monthly expenses and all income sources.

Parents also will need the clothing and shoe sizes for each child. 

Bartow Christmas Coalition

Bartow Christmas Coalition is a community project that aims to help needy Bartow residents during the holiday season.

Individuals who need assistance are required to sign up Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Church at Liberty Square, 2001 Liberty Square Drive NE in Cartersville.

Each applicant is required to provide the following information:
  • Driver’s license or picture ID of person applying as head of household.
  • Utility bill, lease or other documentation verifying of the person's street address. No post office boxes are accepted. 
  • Social Security card of everyone in the home or tax return containing those Social Security numbers.
  • Proof of household income.
