Screamers Haunted House in Cartersville Starts Friday

The annual fright benefiting local charities continues on weekends through Nov. 1 at the American Legion Carl Boyd Post 42 Fairgrounds.

Now in its sixth year, Screamers is the only haunted house you'll find in Cartersville.

A small group puts on the Halloween fright each year, and all proceeds go to local charities, with the majority this year benefiting Advocates for Bartow's Children, according to the Screamers Haunted House Facebook page.

"There are about 20 of us. We are just a group of friends plus a few extras to fill in some spaces," Debbie Ham last year told Cartersville Patch. "We do it because we love it!"

The Halloween fun at Screamers starts Friday, Oct. 18, at 8 p.m., and continues on weekends through Nov. 1, for an encore.
