Bartow Schools To Sell Old Cloverleaf Elementary, Other Properties

The system has two offers on the former elementary school at 71 W. Felton Road in Cartersville.

Bartow County Schools officials plan to sell several properties the system no longer uses, Superintendent John Harper told Cartersville Patch.

Several properties are or likely will be on the market, including the former Cloverleaf Elementary School at 71 W. Felton Road in Cartersville.

"We plan to sell that property," Harper said via email. "We have had two offers on the property and we are working on selling the property to the person with the highest offer."

The system this year opened the new Cloverleaf, which is located at 291 Highway 20 Spur SE in Cartersville.

The board of education last night approved a feasibility study on the sale of other properties Harper said the system no longer uses, The Daily Tribune News reports.

"Specifically, a lot next to the playground at Adairsville Elementary, a gym at the old Kingston Elementary site, property located behind Mission Road Elementary, a road and a couple of lots at the old Pine Log Elementary and a ball field in Taylorsville," Harper told Patch.
