5K to Focus on Health and History

Course will take participants through Cartersville's historic district.

Community members can get healthy while immersing themselves in the history of Cartersville on Sept. 14.

The Healthy Bartow Historic 5K at Rose Lawn will take participants through Cartersville historic residential district, starting at the Rose Lawn Museum, a Victorian home that once housed famous evangelistic minister Sam P. Jones.

Proceeds from the 5K will benefit Downtown Cartersville’s Historic Wellness Walk as part of the Healthy Bartow Initiative, Rose Lawn’s Save the Carriage House campaign, and the Bartow History Museum.

This event will launch the Historic Wellness Walk, which will provide walking routes through the historic district in order to increase opportunities to be active while learning a history.

Rose Lawn’s 38th annual Arts and Crafts Festival will take place the same day.
