On the article Police to Greenwich Woman: Don’t Dump on Port Chester

ReplyIf a Greenwich resident has either a transfer station permit or a beach parking permit affixed to their passenger vehicle windshield, there isn't a fee to dump construction material at the Holly Hill Transfer Station. Ditto for household trash, yard waste and recyclables.

ReplyAll: A statement from Stephen J. Sedensky III, State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Danbury, clarifies what several readers have pointed out as factual inaccuracies contained in the court documents. Sedensky's statement reads, in part:
"The released search warrants were obtained on December 14, 15, 16, 2012, within a short time of the shootings. Subsequent investigation revealed that shootings took place in two of the classrooms, not three, and that the shooter was not wearing a bullet-proof vest, nor was he a teenager."
The full statement may be found at the following link: http://www.ct.gov/csao/cwp/view.asp?a=1801&Q=521714
Given this information, I have corrected the article so that it now accurately reflects the facts as provided by authorities.

ReplyYour point is well taken. Perhaps Selectman Marzullo, or the other selectmen or the RTM members on this subcommittee, can weigh in here and tell us what the process is.

Reply@Greenwich Taxpayer...understand all of your arguments on what you say is 'automatic renewal.' But at the same time, no other organization and/or person has stepped up to the plate to propose assuming responsibility of any of these facilities in the past couple years. So what's wrong with allowing continued stewardship of operating these facilities whether it's the Mianus Boat Club, Abilis, the Innis Arden Cottage or a community garden. It appears that all of these organizations are providing a service to the town that otherwise, we would be taxed on if the town took on the operational expenses these groups are assuming.
