The company is one of many whom Habitat for Humanity relies on for donations.
Approximately 40 people spent last Saturday working on Habitat for Humanity's newest house under construction. Many of the volunteers at the job site on Douglas Street were from Wells Fargo. And, in addition to working on the handicap-accessible house, the company presented the local organization with a check for $15,000. Habitat for Humanity Director Robin Hooker said the non-profit organization relies on companies like Wells Fargo for donations. "We could not build houses (like this) without donations from companies like Wells Fargo," Hooker said. "It means a lot to us." The Well in Cartersville did something different during it's New Year's Day church service and succeeded in mission work to help others.

Realizing New Year's Day, which this year fell on Sunday, may not be the best time to hold a normal worship service, a local church opted for something different. "We decided to not have our normal worship and turn our worship center into a mission experience," The Well Lead Pastor Andy Postell said. "We called it 'Put Others First.' "As people came into the worship center, we had stations set up where people could do different things. We also disbanded our normal children's activities and created mission opportunities for all ages." While one organization collects blankets, coats, gloves and other winter accessories, another is helping financially struggling Cartersville and Bartow residents with personal hygiene products.
