The Woodland swim team continues to impress.
When most people think of swimming, their first thought is usually splashing in backyard pools, or swimming in a lake, or ocean, having a good time with their friends. However, competitive swimming has an entirely different connotation. Competitive swimming is a sport performed worldwide by individuals who possess devotion, talent, physical and mental capacity for the sport, and the rigorous training that the sport requires. For the past eight years, Woodland High School has provided a swim program for individuals who are interested in competing against county teams and other swim teams across the metro Atlanta region and northwest Georgia area. The newly-created guild offers educational opportunities to showcase members’ work.
Booth Western Art Museum announced today's opening of the Booth Photography Guild Biennial Exhibition. Comprised of photography enthusiasts from around northwest Georgia, the Booth Photography Guild meets monthly for educational opportunities and programming related to photography.
