Local Celebs Set for Polar Plunge

Radio personalities and a Bulldog punter are among those jumping in an icy pool on a snowy day to raise money for Advocates for Bartow's Children.

With near freezing temperatures expected Saturday, a group of local celebrities are set to brave the icy, cold water of Dellinger Park's pool in an Advocates for Bartow's Children fundraiser. Cartersville High School football coach Frank Barden and punter Collin Barber, who is headed to play between the hedges; a group in The Wizard of Oz costumes; and WYXC-AM 1270 radio personalities are among those participating in Polar Plunge.
