Plans Take Shape for Mini America Park at LakePoint
The miniature replica theme park would consist of American landmarks constructed on a 1:25 scale and be included in the massive LakePoint Sporting Community & Town Center development near Cartersville.
Eric de Groot's plans for a miniature theme park at LakePoint Sporting Community & Town Center outside Cartersville in Emerson call for miniature replicas of familiar landmarks across the country. Sites to be considered for The Mini American Park include several natural phenomena and tourist attractions—from Alaska's glaciers to Utah's Mormom Temple to Florida's Disney World. Why not focus on the natural beauty of our state? The mountains, lakes, waterfalls and coastline rather than the man made ones? Replicas highlighting the coastal islands area, Amicalola falls, Brasstown Bald, the Providence Canyon and the Appalachian mountains beats the heck out of an airport or aquarium.
