Pickup Truck in Hit-and-Run Registered to Cartersville Man

The red Mazda pickup truck that authorities located shortly after a former Kennesaw State University student was critically injured in an Athens hit-and-run accident is registered to a 22-year-old Cartersville man, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald. Neither the man nor his parents are cooperating with the Athens Clarke County Police Department, the story says. His mother lives in Watkinsville and father in Lawrenceville. Also, police found a bottle of liquor inside the truck, the story says, and empty beer cans in the truck bed.
