Fatal Gordon Crash Kills Cartersville Women, Infant
The Georgia State Patrol reports the Christmas Day accident also sent two other Cartersville women to the hospital with injuries.
UPDATED 7:15 p.m.: Names listed in a news release have been corrected to match funeral home information. Two Cartersville women and a 27-day-old infant were killed in a Christmas Day traffic accident that also injured four other people, according to a news release from the Georgia State Patrol (GSP). The crash occurred Tuesday at 5:47 p.m. on Georgia Highway 53 near Mauldin in Gordon County. The crash killed April Nacoale Winters and two passengers in her vehicle – Tanika Latrice Ackies, 21, of Cartersville, and 27-day-old Niyla Raine Ackies, also of Cartersville. We miss Nacoale Winters and baby Dearious very much. Their our angels in heaven now looking down on us. This was a tragedy that took a lot from this family Christmas night. Our lives have been changed forever and our Christmas will never be the same again. We will miss Taneka and baby Nyla also they were like family to us. RIP sweet angels God has you now.   more ›
