Emerson Sports Complex to Benefit Cartersville
The $1 billion development could bring jobs and growth throughout Bartow County.
Emerson may throw the first pitch, but the city of Cartersville could also benefit from the 1,380-acre sports development proposed for the smaller city just off U.S. 41 South. Developers announced plans in December for the $1 billion Dream Parks at LakePoint, a 262-acre sports complex that would play host to baseball, lacrosse and soccer tournaments and a surrounding commercial development including restaurants, shops and hotels. The facility is expected to draw 3 million people a year and create 2,000 to 4,000 jobs, potentially putting a lot of Cartersville’s unemployed back to work. I have not seen any construction started on this project yet . Also it looks like it will start at red top mtn exit and end at emerson exit . does anyone know when this will start? more ›
