Santa will be at the head of the Cartersville Christmas parade this year and will visit with the children after he has finished the parade route, organizers said in a press release. He'll also be sporting a brand new sleigh, currently in storage at a secret location in an outlying area of Bartow County, and be joined by his lovely wife, Mrs. Claus to greet all the parade watchers, wish everyone a "Merry Christmas" and remind the children to be good. Cartersville Patch caught up with a local business preparing for the annual Cartersville Christmas parade and it was a sight that stopped onlookers in their tracks, some of whom whipped out their camera phones. We spotted the flatbead covered in Christmas lights on Highway 41 and caught up with driver Anthony Johnson of ABC America Towing and Recovery at Walmart. "We're just getting ready for the parade," he said, adding that ABC America is firming up plans for its float. In the meantime, you may see Johnson's truck around town in full glow.
