Updated: Man's Body Found in Lake Allatoona
A 28-year-old jumped off a boat near Harbor Town Marina but did not resurface Friday afternoon.
Updated 2:00 p.m. Cyrille A. Leuekwe Tchippe, 28, of Woodstock was found by the Cherokee County dive team at 6:50 a.m. today. His body was near the Harbor Town Marina, where he went missing, said Tim Cavender, the spokesman for Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services. Reported Ealier While no drownings were reported in Bartow County or Cartersville, two people succumbed to the water over the Memorial Day weekend in Georgia and a third is suspected to have drowned. The two confirmed drownings occurred on Lake Allatoona in Acworth and Lake Lanier in Hall County.
