Viewfinder: Empty Bowls to End Hunger
Cartersville residents gave a big turn-out to The Empty Bowls Fundraiser benefitting Backpack Buddies for Bartow Schools
Cartersville residents turned out in big numbers for the 2011 Empty Bowls fundraiser, created by White Elementary School Art teacher James Laney. More than 300 bowls were created for the event and sold for doantions of $20 in order to raise money for the Backpack Buddies of Bartow County in an effort to aleviate hunger. Local restaurants doanted soups, sides and drinks for attendees of the event.
