Tellus Science Museum captured a video of the object in the sky spotted by eyewitnesses in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

Tellus Science Museum with its NASA fireball camera captured images of a bright object spotted in the sky in three states about 10:19 last night. The meteor was first recorded southeast of Tunnel Hill at an altitude of 51.5 miles, and was moving slightly south of west at approximately 33,500 mph. It was last seen 16.9 miles above State Route 95 southeast of Rock Springs. Scientist are working to refine its trajectory and determine if the object possessed the characteristics of a meteorite producer.

Booth Western Art Museum on Feb. 18 hosted its third For the Love of Art gala. As the biggest annual fundraiser for the museum, it raised more than $100,000 through silent and live auctions, as well as a raffle for a miniature replica sculpture of Giving Thanks—the life-size sculpture is located on the Booth Museum North Lawn—by artist Deborah Fellows. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Booth's Lifetime Achievement Award to artist Fred Fellows. Just over 250 people, representing 11 states, attended the sold out event, which included many artists as well as musician Red Steagall. To celebrate the music, food and poetry of the American cowboy, Booth Western Art Museum is gearing up to play host to 3,000 visitors during its ninth-annual Southeastern Cowboy Gathering, set for March 8 to 11. Crowd favorites include chuck wagon and Dutch oven cooking contests, and new to this year's four-day offering is a mandolin, guitar, fiddle and banjo competition. Fairplay Cattle Co., an event staple with its chuck wagon, also will offer Friday night cowboy music and poetry at no additional charge along with coffee, hot chocolate and dessert for a nominal fee.
