We were very disappointed. Chef, we believe that he is the owner of the restaurant (outgoing man) has received our request and was very rude; spoke aloud sarcastic phrases from the "cooking place" (we were very close to it), just because we (kindly) asked a filet mignon to point. Will we have the right?? We do not like rare meat! He should have more respect for their customers. Never more shall we go to this restaurant and will not recommend.

This is one of my favorite restaurants! While I do agree that their seating policy is not handicapped friendly, the food is to die for. Salads with cranberries and walnuts, Steak Au Poive(?) and the corn muffin fish are scrumptious. It's definitely a place I bring out of town guests to. As it is quite small, the volume can be loud, crowding is an issue at times as well, but don't write it off for all of that. Whenever I've visited, the Chef personally greeted us at the table and made sure we were taken care of. I'm just soo sorry that Harvest House isn't still open. (As I understood, HH was the sister restaurant to AG) and I thoroughly loved that place.

I loved this place when we visited there. The menu is just lovely. The salads are good! We had a good time and will go there again.

This restaurant is FABULOUS. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is cozy and as a Bluegrass fan, the music is wonderful. I've never, ever had a less than stellar experience at Appalachian Grill. It is my favorite restaurant anywhere. During peak hours, there will be a wait, and there are no reservations because of the crowd. Why the crowd? The place is terrific. Expect a wait if you hit at peak times, as with anywhere that has such appeal. They don't hold tables, as that would be unfair to others who have been waiting in line. You will enjoy your experience at the Appalachian Grill!
