What's going on in the Cartersville area this week? Upcoming events include:

Pumpkin Farms, Pickin'


Pumpkin Fest at Pettit Creek Farms in Cartersville continues through Nov. 2. Family Farm Fun days include a petting zoo, hay ride, moonwalks, corn maize, pony rides, exotic animals, pumpkin pickin' patch, according to the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Admission, which covers the listed activities is $10 for adults, $12 for kids, excluding ages 2 and younger, which are admitted are free. Additional activities include pony rides or camel rides for $5 each. Hours are Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

Pumpkin Patch Farm in Adairsville celebrates harvest time by welcoming visitors on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with thousands of pumpkins for carving and cooking, according to the CVB. Activities for kids include hayrides, a petting barnyard, straw hay maze, John Deere country and more. Admission is $6 plus tax per person.
