Local Companies Step Up to Help American Red Cross

Local businesses are helping the Northwest Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross raise $75,000 for its Heroes campaign.

The Northwest Georgia chapter of the American Red Cross wants the community to come together for its efforts to raise money.

The chapter, which covers Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Polk, Walker and Whitfield counties, wants to raise $75,000 as part of its Heroes for the American Red Cross campaign.

Some companies and agencies have already done their part. Nance Carpet & Rug of Calhoun made a $1,000 donation in February and the Bartow County & Cartersville fire departments conducted a bucket drive in November, raking in $15,000.
