Heavy Showers Possible This Week, Fourth of July

If you have outdoor plans for the 4th of July this week, you may want to come up with some alternatives.

According to the National Weather Service forecast for Cartersville, Independence Day on Thursday will see an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs in the mid-80s.

The forecast for the 4th follows a 40-to-60 percent chance of storms on Tuesday and Wednesday, and showers and heavy rainfall predicted for Monday evening after 5 p.m.
