Fireworks Hike Puts Participants Above the Action

Rain may ruin this great chance to view all of the area's fireworks shows from a great vantage point in Cartersville.

If the weather cooperates, local residents can get a great vantage point for fireworks around the area along with a bit of exercise. The Cartersville Parks & Recreation Department will host a guided hike on Cartersville's Pine Mountain Trail.

The hike departs from the West Trailhead and embarks on a 1.57 mile hike to the summit at 1,562 feet above sea level for a stunning views:

  • Allatoona Lake,
  •  Etowah River Valley,
  • Stars, Stripes & Cartersville Fireworks display in Dellinger Park.

Participants may wish to bring a flashlight. The hike may be canceled due to bad weather. Meet at the West Trailhead at 8:15 p.m., and depart at 8:30 p.m. for the hike to the top.
