Cedartown 18, Cartersville 10 – fumbled the football twice in the fourth quarter leading to an 8-point defeat Friday, according to the Daily Tribune News. The ‘Canes are by no stretch out of the playoff hunt. A win Friday secures a spot in the postseason.
Northwest Whitfield 42, Woodland 13 – jumped out early but couldn’t do anything to stop a Northwest Whitfield attack that put 42 points on the board, according to the Daily Tribune News. Northwest Whitfield posted nearly 500 yards of total offense and held the Wildcats off the scoreboard in the second half.
Chattahoochee 56, Cass 0 – couldn’t overcome a number of mental mistakes Friday against the defending 4A state champions, according to the Daily Tribune News. Cass was able to manufacture 12 first downs and 184 of total offense, but couldn’t put any points up on the board.
