Cartersville Little League postseason play continued yesterday. Here are the results:

Indians vs. Padres

The Indians flex muscles as they go on to shutout the Padres 18-0, behind the power of the bats and dominating defense.

The Indians got off to a fast start in the first inning, scoring eight quick runs before the Padres finally ended the Indians rally. Then the Indians starting pitcher Bailey Campbell struck out the side to end the first inning.

The second inning was a mirror image of the first, as Thacker Lively hit a grand slam for the Indians to put four of the seven runs scored in the second to make the score 15-0.

In the end the Indians were just too much for the Padres and they couldn’t find an answer as the Padres used four different pitchers. Pitching by Bailey Campbell, Noah Daniel and Dax Edwards and two home-runs by Thacker Lively were the story and the Indians won 18-0.
