Hosted by the Georgia Ultrarunning and Trailrunning Society on Red Top Mountain State Park's Iron Hill Trail, the race was filled to capacity when registration opened in December.

8 a.m.—11.5 mile trail race begins

10 a.m.—Kids Trail Trot begins; 11.5-mile trail race features moderate to easy wooded trails with several bridge crossings and beautiful views of Allatoona Lake.
Multiple aid stations along the course with a variety of food, drink and support. Course time limit is 2:45. Awards presented to Top 10 Male and Female, Overall Master and Overall Grandmaster.

Finisher awards to all Kids Trail Trot participants.
Pre-registered participants receive a shirt and goodie bag.
Post race festivities include plenty of food and raffle prizes.
A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Friends of Red Top Mountain State Park. Funds will be used to furnish a new family-friendly activity center inside the park. The Mountain Cove Discovery Room will feature exhibits about the site's rich mining history as well as local wildlife education.
