Cartersville Mayor Matt Santini and the city's Parks and Recreation department host a guided hike on Pine Mountain Trail to celebrate spring and the beauty of the trail.
The hike departs from the west trailhead for a 1.57-mile trek to the summit at 1,562 feet above sea level, providing a stunning view of Allatoona Lake, the Etowah River Valley and the city of Cartersville.
It may be canceled due to bad weather.

The group departs at 10 a.m., but meet at 9:45 a.m. for the hike to the David G. Archer Overlook.
