Not Your Average Beauty Pageant

Local businessmen and male alumni dress as women for this awesome fundraiser.

There are many beauty pageants that have been held locally, but none like this.

On Saturday night, Cass High School Band boosters held a fundraiser at their new facility to raise money for new band uniforms for the upcoming year.

Going in style, the booster club held a womanless pageant that showcased some of our local hard working men. The new cafeteria was full of Cartersville friends and family that came out to cheer and shout for their number one ladies.  As the "women" strut their stuff on the catwalk, fans made donations to their favorite picks of the night.

Trophies were given out in a few different categories: prettiest legs, miss congeniality and best butt.

The crowd voted for their top three picks of the night and they are as follows: third place goes to Dr. Cline of Cline Orthodontist; runner-up goes to Eric Lee of The Bridge Church; and first place goes to Paul Parker of Adairsville Parole Office.

Contestants included: Dr. Cline of Cline Orthodontist; Eric Lee with The Bridge Church; Carey Millsap with Bartow County Sheriffs Office; Paul Parker with Adairsville Parole Office; Tim Linely, CHS alumni; Freddy Gunn of Gunn Contracting; Miss Minney Warehouse; and Marcus Elezy, CHS alumni.

All in all, the fundraiser was a success for the band booster. The band members and staff worked very hard and put on an excellent performance for the Cartersville community and everyone left with smiles on their faces.

Spelling correction, but great work: "Minnie" ( Miss Minnie Warehouse ) not Minney. www.godtube.com/tombbandy
