Kittle a School Board Contender

Euharlee resident and Cartersville businessman Fred Kittle says he'll qualify for the District 4 seat currently held by Wanda Cagle Gray.

Following meeting, former chairman and current county GOP first vice chair Fred Kittle announced a run for the District 4 seat currently held by Wanda Cagle Gray.

In a press release, Kittle said he'll qualify as a Republican on Wednesday, the first day of the . It's unclear if Gray will seek another term, but those fireworks indicate between her and other board members continues.

"I believe I will be a positive and innovative member of the school board," Kittle said in the release. "I look forward to serving the citizens of Bartow County."

Kittle, a father of six, has been a leader through his work with the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce and is currently employed with WESCO Distribution, the release says. He is married to Lynn Kittle, and while his oldest children have either graduated or attend college, his youngest is a student at Woodland Middle School.
