The History of the Irish People in the American South

Bartow History Museum welcomes Dr. Bryan McGovern, professor at Kennesaw State University, who will discuss the history of the Irish in the South during the 19th Century, focusing on the Civil War and their contribution to southern society. 

This program is co-sponsored by the Bartow County Public Library System in conjunction with their summer adult reading program, “Novel Destinations." It is supported by the Georgia Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities and through appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly.
