Cybersafety for Parents

Bartow County Sheriff's Office is conducting this cybersafety presentation for parents and guardians interested in learning more information about trends in Internet usage.

Topics include, but are not limited to, Social Networking, Cyberbullying, Internet Scams, Online Predators and Technology Trends. This information can be used to guide parents/guardians on how to monitor their child's safety on the Internet.

The home computer is not the only source of online connectivity that allow children to access the Internet. Today they can access the Internet from their phone, hand-held, portable gaming devices—X-Box, Playstation, etc. Many of today's children stay "connected" 24/7.

Many resources are available in helping parents/guardians to not only protect themselves while online but also their children. All attendees will be given a compact disc containing valuable information regarding cybersafety.
