Cartersville Schools Hold Summer Graduation

The system also kept the millage rate at its current level.

Joyful tears, congratulatory hugs and heart-warming applause filled the building on Monday evening, as the school system held an intimate summer graduation for seven of its students before its monthly business meeting.

Vesherica Marie Gainor, David Eugene Hill, Ana Iris Morales Guillen, Qiana Shanice Palmore, Erin Marquis Wells, Matthew Taylor Wilson and Berianna Jonette Winters officially became CHS graduates and were given their earned diplomas in front of a packed board room, which was filled with parents, teachers and staff.

“This is one of the most enjoyable moments any school board member could possibly have, is watching you graduate,” said Board President Linda Benton to the group of graduates. “Thank you for keeping on. I know it took a lot to do that and each one of you will be a graduate for the rest of your life and no one will be able to change that.”
