Cartersville High Principal to Resign

While Principal Jay Floyd declined further comment, he confirmed reports that he told faculty members he would not be back in the fall to continue his current role as principal.

Floyd also confirmed his resignation would be effective in June.

System spokesman Vivian Greene said officials knew of Floyd's announcement to faculty last week, but so far have not received his official resignation or any word on the reason or reasons.
