Bartow Schools' College Planning, Information Night Set for Oct. 8

Topics on tap include financial aid, scholarships or earning college credit in high school. Reps from a number of colleges also will make presentations and answer questions.

Do you have questions about college planning, financial aid, scholarships, or earning college credit in high school?

The Bartow County School system is hosting a student parent information night to answer those questions for all high school students in the system, according to Professional School Counselor Kellen Cloud.

The Student Parent Information Night, or S.P.I.N. for short, is set for Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Bartow County College and Career Academy on Grassdale Road in Cartersville.

All high school students and parents from Adairsville, Cass, and Woodland high schools are invited to attend the event, which is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m.

Representatives from Georgia Student Finance Commission (H.O.P.E. Scholarship), Kennesaw State University, Chattahoochee Technical College, University of West Georgia, Etowah Scholarship Foundation, Bartow County College and Career Academy, the College Planning Institute and Georgia Highlands College are set to make presentations and answer questions.

Why attend several different events when you get all the information you need in one night?
