At its recent summer commencement ceremony, Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga., awarded degrees to 216 students.
Among the graduates were the following area residents:
- Gayla Laverne Elliott of Euharlee earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
- Kathrine White Hewlett of Cartersville earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
- Lori Renee Howe of Cartersville earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
- Andrew Raymond May of Cartersville earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in early childhood education .
- Kristi Nunez of Cartersville earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
- Kendall Marie Payne of Cartersville earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
- Eric Jason Ruggles of Cartersville earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
- Kimberly Elaine Ruggles of Catersville earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
- Tatum Erin Tripp of Cartersville earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
- Gwen Hambrick West of Cartersville earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in secondary mathematics education .
- Kimberly Howell Wynn of Cartersville earned an Education Specialst (EDS) degree .
Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of about 2,600 students with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Ga. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in 50 major areas and graduate degrees in education and business, including doctoral degrees in education.
