Sometimes students need just a little bit of extra help to graduate with their class and not fall behind. The Bartow County School System Virtual School provides that assistance and this year enabled 12 students to graduate. There are an additional three students taking courses over the summer hoping to graduate as well. Without this program, many students would not graduate and would give up on having a successful career.

During the year, each student took a full class schedule from their high school; plus, they earned additional credits in order to get themselves back on their graduation schedule. Some students earned two to three credits by taking classes through the Virtual School. The Virtual School also offers support to students who may have fallen behind from transferring from another school district. Students will tell you to be successful in the Virtual School, you must be willing to dedicate yourself to the rigor and the expectations the online courses require. These courses are challenging and require hard work and effort. Students who do not commit to the platform or the time and effort will not be successful.
