Are You Ready for Winter?

The National Weather Service predicts a blast of cold air will take us well below normal temperatures for a few days.

Fall is well underway with cooler temperatures trickling in during the day and night across the Atlanta metro area and in north Georgia. Many of us have pulled out our sweaters and boots from hibernation, and before you know it we'll be setting our clocks back one hour as we transition to Eastern Standard Time on Nov. 3.

It's safe to say the fall weather is here, but will Old Man Winter make an early appearance?

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City reports a weak front is expected to move through the state this week. And while no precipitation is anticipated, "very good cold air" is on the backside of the front.

"Models continue to indicate temperatures well below normal for Wednesday night through Saturday morning, according to the NWS area forecast discussion. "Guidance has also gone a little colder for Friday night/Saturday morning...expanding the potential for patchy frost a little southward into the western suburbs."

Frost? In mid-October? Tell us: Are you ready for winter? If so, how are you preparing yourself?
