Loudermilk Calls for Human Life Amendment

The former state representative announced Tuesday a right-to-life resolution he and other have put forth.

State Sen. Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville, a former state representative, announced Tuesday the submission of Senate Resolution 153, which calls for a ballot initiative to amend the state Constitution to define a “person” as any human being from the time of conception, regardless of age, health or other factors.

He represents Senate District 52, which includes Floyd County and portions of Bartow and Gordon counties. The press conference is set for the Washington Street steps of the state capitol in Atlanta.
