Loudermilk to Seek Another Term

State Sen. Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville, announced he plans to be up for re-election in the 14th District, which shifted as a result of redistricting.

State Sen. Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville, has announced a bid for re-election in District 14, which now includes most of and Cherokee counties and a portion of Cobb.

A shift in his district was approved by the General Assembly last year in , which resulted from the 2010 Census.

"The borders of my district may change, but my resolve to work for Georgia and for the benefit of my constituents has not changed," Loudermilk said in a press release. "I pledge to the 14th District to continue to represent our northwest Georgia conservative values of faith, family and freedom, and to serve all my constituents to the best of my ability."
