Leaders Select Projects for Proposed T-SPLOST
Commissioner Clarence Brown said the regional sales tax to fund transportation projects will likely be on the ballot in 2012.
Town hall meetings on the list proposed for Bartow County's region should take place in the fall. If the roundtables — made up of the region's city and county leaders — don't propose a list, local governments would be required to provide a 50 percent match for Local Maintenance Improvement Grants, formerly Local Assistance Road Projects and State Aid, from GDOT and the region cannot try again for at least two years.
