Job Alert: Career Expo Set at Chatt Tech

Bartow County’s unemployment rate dipped to 8.8 percent in September, but we want to see more decreases in the jobless rate. Count on Cartersville Patch to provide local economic development, business and jobs news and information.

Georgia Department of Labor’s Cartersville Career Center is set to help Chattahoochee Technical College with its Thursday career expo for veterans and other job seekers. 

A number of local companies, including Shaw Industries, Georgia Power and Wynn Buick GMC, will be at the Nov. 1 expo, set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Building 400 on Chatt Tech's North Metro Campus in Acworth.

It's set to feature a number of employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Employers will be hiring or discussing current and future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide educational and other resources.

Bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. Dress professionally to improve your opportunities for employment.
