A published report indicates the Georgia Department of Transportation may announce an alternate to Route DV-E of the U.S. 411 Connector.

Rome News-Tribune reports the Georgia Department of Transportation will announce a decision to consider an alternate to its chosen route for the proposed U.S. 411 Connector, which has apparently been .

According to the newspaper, Route C has resurfaced as a possibility and would follow the existing U.S. 411 to , avoiding the Rollins' Cartersville Ranch, but not connect to Interstate 75 in Cartersville.

In the works for 30 years, the proposed four-lane highway that would provide a direct route to Interstate 75 from Rome, has been , which secured a Dobbins Mountain held by the city of Euharlee.
