Council to Eye Wage, Salary Study

The Cartersville city council also is set to approve airport paving and new cameras for police vehicles.

Developing from a recent visioning session, the Cartersville City Council is set to discuss Thursday a measure that would begin a salary and wage survey of city positions and compare those to other municipalities.

The last such study was completed about 10 years ago.

The council also will eye repaving the south hangar of the Cartersville-Bartow County Airport along with Bartow County. The two governments have agreed to split the 5 percent not funded by the Federal Aviation Administration and Georgia Department of Transportation. The cost to the city is about $9,000.
