Council to Eye Addition to Urban Redevelopment
Cartersville leaders meet at 6 p.m. Thursday for a work session and 7 p.m. for regular business.
Along with rezonings, appointments and purchases, the is set to consider an addition to its Urban Redevelopment Plan.
Following two public hearings, the tract of land on which the old Goodyear plant sat would be in the Northwest Industrial Opportunity Zone, if approved by the council.
Opportunity Zones allow increased state job tax credits to businesses in those areas that hire two or more full-time employees.
