Cartersville Man Wins $225K Fantasy 5 Prize

A self-employed fencer won with a Georgia Lottery ticket purchased at Jo Jo's Market in nearby Euharlee.

A big Georgia Lottery prize has made its way to a Cartersville man’s backyard.

Lynn Pack, self-employed backyard fencer, won the $225,091 jackpot prize from the Nov. 30 Fantasy 5 drawing by matching all five winning numbers.

Jo Jo’s Market in nearby Euharlee sold the winning Quik Pik ticket. Winning numbers from the Nov. 30 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 5-6-8-16-19.

Pack especially is excited about the windfall since he’ll be celebrating his 62nd birthday this month. He and his wife, Geralyn, have two sons.

“We’re both close to retirement, so this will supplement our income,” he said, according to a press release.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.

More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
