Cartersville Businessman To Announce State Senate Run
Businessman and entrepreneur Bruce Thompson says he wants State Sen. Barry Loudermilk's District 14 seat.
Local Allstate agent and former Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce board chairman Bruce Thompson is set tonight to announce his candidacy for the State Senate District 14 seat to be vacated by outgoing Barry Loudermilk.
According to a media alert, the serial entrepreneur will announce his impending run tonight from 6 to 7 on the steps of the Bartow County courthouse in Cartersville and spread his plan to create jobs, lower taxes and use practice fiscal responsibility if elected to office.
Thompson is currently a board director at Northside Bank and personnel chair at First Baptist Church of Cartersville. He and his wife of 15 years reside in the Cartersville area.
