Career Expo to Feature 90 Employers, Education and Assistance Organizations

Shaw, Georgia Highlands, Goodwill, Lowe's and Wells Fargo are among the employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies set for Shorter University's Northwest Georgia Career Expo.

Bring a lot of resumes and be prepared to apply and interview for jobs at Shorter University's fourth-annual Northwest Georgia Career Expo, according to a news release.

The Sept. 20 expo in Rome is set to feature about 90 employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that assist job seekers, including Cartersville organizations, such as Shaw Industries and .

Employers will be hiring or discussing current and future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide educational and other resources.

Job seekers should dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment. They are encouraged to preregister and print a free ticket for the expo, which is set for 9 a.m. to noon, at The Forum, 2 Government Plaza in Rome.

GDOL will provide computers for applicants to use in their job searches and to complete online employment applications. Staffers also will be available to help with resume writing.
