Agreements, Purchases on the Agenda
Cartersville leaders will hold a business meeting at 7 p.m. and work session at 6 p.m., both Thursday.
In a fairly short city council agenda, Cartersville leaders are expected to consider several purchases and two agreements, one of which extends the time period for an agreement with Emerson.
The council had approved for LakePoint, the proposed sports development in Emerson. It will eye extending the date by about a month because developers were unable to close on the land in the prescribed amount of time.
If approved, the agreement between the two cities would then terminate Aug. 30 if LakePoint has not closed on the land.
