Worker Robbed by Trio with Red Bandanas, Gun

The incident under the bridge in downtown Cartersville resulted in no injuries.

A local resident and Krystal employee said he was robbed at gunpoint under the bridge in downtown Cartersville by men wearing red bandanas.

Cartersville police got the call about 10:35 p.m. Wednesday. The victim, 22, was walking home from work and noticed a group following him on Gilmer Street at the Church Street bridge overpass.

One of the men put a gun to the back of the victim's head and said, "Empty your pockets," according to the incident report. The victim, who got off work at 10 p.m., said he put his hands up.

The gunman reached in his pockets searching for money, but the victim said he only had a cell phone. The robber grabbed the phone, but let go and struck the victim in the back of the head.

He fell forward and ran, catching a glimpse of at least three men dressed in dark clothing and hats, and wearing red bandanas over their faces. The gunman also wore sunglasses.

The robbers, who took no property from the victim, fled on foot.
