Cops: Woman Assaults Walmart Worker after Shoplifting

Bartow County authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman who left the Cartersville store in an SUV with Alabama plates.

Authorities say a woman shown in Walmart surveillance footage shoplifted at the Cartersville store, then assaulted an employee who tried to confront her about it.

Bartow County Sheriff's Office investigators want to identify the woman who was wearing a jersey with the No. 2 in connection with the Friday incident about 6 p.m. Witnesses later spotted her leaving in a silver SUV with Alabama tags.

Anyone with information as to the woman's identity should call the Criminal Investigations Division at 770-382-5050, extension 6030, or click Report A Crime! on the department's Facebook page.
