Updated: Woman Accused of Smuggling Tobacco, Lighters into Cartersville Jail

Bartow County authorities want the public's help in finding Felicia Howard, 23, a jail visitor whose last known address is on Burnt Hickory Road in Cartersville.

Felicia Marie Howard, 26, surrendered to authorities at 8:30 this mornin  at the Bartow County jail and will face no additional charges, according to a sheriff's office Facebook post.

Bartow County Sheriff's Office adds a mugshot each week to its list of Bartow's Most Wanted, people who have been accused of crimes, not convicted. They are presumed innocent until the court system settles their cases.

Investigators are hoping for tips as to the location of a woman accused of smuggling tobacco and lighters into the Cartersville jail.

Bartow County Sheriff's Office in a late-night Saturday post on the department's Facebook page said Felicia Marie Howard, 26, is wanted on a number of charges and asked tipsters to come forward with her whereabouts.

Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said today authorities haven't yet apprehended Howard, whose last known address is in Cartersville. Although she didn't work at the jail and has never been arrested in Bartow, Rogers said Howard was a visitor.

She is suspected of smuggling contraband as many as 10 times and could face even more charges.

Suspect: Felicia Howard, 23

  • Description: Caucasian female; 5-feet-6-inches tall and 160 pounds; brown hair and brown eyes.
  • Charges: Delivering Contraband to an Inmate, Conspiracy to Commit Contraband Beyond Guard Lines, Criminal Trespass, Violation of Security Measures and three counts of Use of a Communications Facility to Commit a Felony.
  • Last Known Address: 102 Burnt Hickory Road, Lot 8, in Cartersville.

Anyone with information on Howard's whereabouts or activities should call 911 and notify the dispatcher she is a wanted person. Callers may remain anonymous. BCSO's phone line for anonymous tips is 770-606-TIPS (8477) and now tipsters can report information anonymously via the department's Facebook page.
